For ICP candidates: You are welcome to join us whenever you feel ready and fully committed. Please understand that the first time we meet you, we want to meet you in person. This can be done in several ways – either you come to us, or we come to you!

We will provide you with online and written materials – that includes also full access to our Gracie Concepts® Online University. Start studying and immediately implementing our Gracie Jiu-Jitsu curriculum (23 lessons – known as Gracie Fundamentals) in your school.

For Partner schools: Each official partner school must have a minimum of 20 or more students.
If you have just started with a selected group of people (study group) – the fee for the first 20 student licences must be fully covered by the study group until the minimum of 20 people is reached. Remember – everyone training in your group/school must have a Student Licence from day one.

Current Belt Evaluation: If you are a Blue belt (or higher) from another BJJ team or organization, you can keep your current belt, but we will not certify your current belt. As you progress with us through our ICP course and achieve our color belt standards, we will certify you at your next belt rank under the supervision of the Gracie Concepts® – GJJ European Network.

General Belt Certifications: All members belt certifications are FREE of charge if the member continues to purchase the annual license (each and every year) and remains in good standing with the network and school. Generally, belt examinations are conducted at seminars and training camps, as well as when Professor Franco Vacirca (head of the network) visits your school, or members visiting our Gracie Concepts® headquarters. All Black belts are only awarded by Professor Franco personally.

Current Certified Instructors: Our black belt instructors are our best business cards around the world, representing us in their region and country for many years. Gracie Concepts® network in Europe was founded in 1996, one year after the grand opening of the Vacirca Brothers – Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Zurich, Switzerland, therefore some of our black belt representatives have more then 30+ years of experience and brotherhood with us.

Current Partner Schools: Some of the certified instructors have also gone on to become one of our ICP Ambassadors and support us by providing “certified ICP training” in their own region. They agree with all the support provided by the Gracie Concepts® Headquarters and have been under the personal supervision of Professor Franco Vacirca for many years in person. We are very proud that most of the certified instructors today also own (or manage) some of the best Brazilian / Gracie Jiu-Jitsu schools in Europe.

Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Legacy: Every of our Gracie Concepts® Partner school is also registered and recognized by the JJGF/JIU-JITSU GLOBAL FEDERATION – under the presidency of Grandmaster Rickson Gracie. This means that you and your registered students are also recognized by the JJGF and have the right to get certified additionally by Master Rickson Gracie himself. The JJGF school affiliation is FREE of charge, however, the JJGF certification fee must be paid directly to JJGF through their website at www.jjgf.com.

We are here to help you grow in the right way and in the right direction. Do not waste your time with so-called BJJ organizations that only have one interest – to make money for themselves! Beware of fraudulent instructors from Brazil! No, not every Brazilian is a certified instructor. Most are professional belt merchants. In the last few years many Europeans have lost thousands of Euros hosting seminars and belt certification days – without getting the real training.

Warning

“Professor de Jiu-Jitsu,” was the first European to earn a black belt in BJJ. He remains the highest-ranked European today, holding a prestigious Coral belt, 7th degree. He completed his training as a BJJ instructor under Grandmaster Pedro Hemetério.

This is my story of the Jiu-Jitsu that came from Japan to Europe, and to Brazil, to later spread throughout the world. -Franco Vacirca Garcia
