FAIXA AZUL

  • 2-4 years as student.
  • All Annual License fee payments on time.
  • Minimum age 16+ years.

FAIXA ROXA

  • 2+ years as blue belt student.
  • All Annual License fee payments on time.
  • Blue belt graduation by official GC teacher or Prof. Franco Vacirca.
  • Minimum age 17+ years.

FAIXA MARROM

  • 2+ years as purple belt student.
  • All Annual License fee payments on time.
  • Purple belt graduation by official GC teacher or Prof. Franco Vacirca.
  • Minimum age 19+ years.

FAIXA PRETA

  • 2+ years as brown belt student.
  • All Annual License fee payments on time.
  • Brown belt graduation by official GC teacher or Prof. Franco Vacirca.
  • Minimum age 21+ years.
  • For the 1st Grau (first white stripe) the minimum age is 23+ years.

Athletes / Trainers degrees:
1. to 3. Grau (degree) – at least 3-5 years of practice for each degree.

Teachers’ degrees:
4. and 5. Grau – at least 5 years of practice for each degree.
6. and 7. Grau – at least 7 years of practice for each degree.
8. and 9. Grau – awarded only by the official International Organizations.
10. Grau – awarded only to the BJJ founders.

Kids & Youth belts:
Kids and youth (under age 16 yrs) Jiu-Jitsu students will be additional ranked in the following group colors: gray, yellow, orange, and green.

“Professor de Jiu-Jitsu,” was the first European to earn a black belt in BJJ. He remains the highest-ranked European today, holding a prestigious Coral belt, 7th degree. He completed his training as a BJJ instructor under Grandmaster Pedro Hemetério.
