The Gracie Concepts® network is composed of the following members:
Senior Instructor (Black belt, 5th degree and above)
The entitled person is also titled “Professor(a) de Jiu-Jitsu” (Brazilian language), represents in full the network. The person holds at least a 5th degree Black belt under the network.
Full Instructor (Black belt, 3rd degree or above)
The entitled person represents in full the network. He/she can give up to FAIXA PRETA (Black belt) 1st and 2nd degree (Grau) to his member-students.
Instructor, Trainer, Coach
The entitled person represents the network in his school under the supervision of a Full Instructor or the HQ-Dojo. Person (Coach) holds at least a FAIXA AZUL (Blue belt) – Trainer (Purple belt or Brown belt) – Instructor (Black belt) and is fully committed to be supervised by the ICP expert in his region / country.
- Coaches cannot give any belts, but on White belt the first 4 stripes.
- Trainers (Purple belt) can give up to Blue belt, and up to 4 stripes on Blue belt.
- Trainers (Brown belt) can give up to Purple belt, and 4 stripes on Purple belt.
- Instructors can give up to Brown belt, and 4 stripes on Brown belt.
- Only Instructor with at least 2nd degree (Grau) can award also Black belt.
Student member (male/female, all belt colors, and all age groups)
The entitled person must be an active Jiu-Jitsu student. They must pay an annual license fee to headquarters. The entitled person has the right to be tested up to FAIXA PRETA (Black belt) and to be officially certified FREE-of-charge.
Belt graduations will take place during an official testing. Black belt (athletes) can reach up to 3rd degree (Grau).
Final note: All certifications must come from Gracie Concepts® headquarters and degree / graduations must be approved by Professor Franco Vacirca in advance and in written form.
