Regardless of your martial arts (and/or “Brazilian” [or any other] Jiu-Jitsu) background, like every other member, you will begin by studying the first 23 lessons, known as the “Gracie Fundamentals”.

Gracie Concepts® instructors/trainers are defined in two categories: Associate/Instructor (black belt) and Affiliated/Trainer (color belt). Instructors also have free access to what we call “Alternative Lessons” to provide additional teaching and training information.

Refreshers – Ongoing Teacher Training: The Instructor Certification Program (ICP) can be taken (in part) online, fully in person at our Head Dojo in Zurich, Switzerland, and in some selected ICP locations (ICP Ambassadors).

However, at least twice a year, each candidate and certified instructor is required to attend and support one of our seminars, training camps, or visit us in Zurich by appointment for private and/or group instruction. This helps us to re-evaluate your current belt and instructor level.

We always recommend that you attend instructor training with one or more of your assistants so that you can review the material together when you return home.

With your student licenses you are also supporting the network and there are no additional fees for you as a school or teacher. Each student must have an annual license – always valid for the current calendar year – if you are a partner school.

To arrange your instructor training, we always recommend that you contact us in advance and schedule your visit with our support team to the Gracie Concepts® headquarters.

For more information about Student Membership, Teacher Training, ICP Courses, Seminars/Workshops and Training Camps, you can also contact us via WhatsApp during weekdays and business hours or email us at vacircabrothersjiujitsu@gmail.com | WhatsApp +41794150808.

“Professor de Jiu-Jitsu,” was the first European to earn a black belt in BJJ. He remains the highest-ranked European today, holding a prestigious Coral belt, 7th degree. He completed his training as a BJJ instructor under Grandmaster Pedro Hemetério.

This is my story of the Jiu-Jitsu that came from Japan to Europe, and to Brazil, to later spread throughout the world. -Franco Vacirca Garcia
